These binoculars were made at Leica’s factory in Portugal. It’s difficult to explain why, but it just feels right. With hindsight this wasn’t a great move.

Then it’s a matter of doing a little research on the internet to find who rang the bird you saw, and then emailing the details of your sighting. With its striking combination of colour rings I suspected that it would be easy to find out more about this particular bird, and I was right.
