Rabbit Meadows is a rescue group out of Seattle. As the name suggests, they rescue rabbits, but they also rescue other small animals like ferrets, and other small rodents. They are undertaking a great project that sounds like it will be beneficial for both the sanctuary rabbits and the people who love them.

You typically do not find a bird this naked or featherless outside of the nest unless there has been a storm or the nest has been attacked by predator like a raccoon, chipmunk, squirrel or corvids. Owls are a little different. They don’t build nests and some like Great Horned Owls take over old hawk or squirrel nests.

We do have a possum and a raccoon that live somewhere on the property. Lots of squirrels, chipmunks, deer, rabbits. I think I heard an owl once last winter. None of my neighbors have cats and I'm only aware of one dog owner blocks away. And I have found one small dead garden snake in the street. Oh and a turkey one time.
