I had never heard of the use of ferrets in medical research though. A national physicians group has filed a federal complaint against the University of Washington, saying its use of ferrets to train medical residents in emergency procedures on babies and children violates a federal animal-welfare law. I wish the Seattle weeklies would at least try to cover the University of Washington's Primate Center. Tags: university research animal experimentation animal research primates medical research. Sounds like there can be a whole lot of drama surrounding the Willamette Week's attempts to report about this place.

She supports medical research on animals. One scene has the author entering the part of the hospital where the research animals are. This woman, who I now mentally call "THE VIVISECTOR," defended medical research. She is the "science" one and likes to call herself an "independent" on the political landscape.
