On the first trip in 2012 we used public transport to get there and the train conveniently gets you to Macarthur Square shopping centre and you can then get a bus that drops you right at the entrance to the park. We also had Eastern Whipbirds hopping along the edge of the road tossing the leaf litter about in search of food.

We wanted to try and observe some of the bush species that we have encountered in the tall trees of New South Wales on previous holidays. We also had to remind ourselves of familiar sounds that we had heard before, but could not instantly remember the species. Although the tall trees can be challenging they can also be very rewarding.
