Some time ago a neighborhood stray cat came to the yard to have her kittens. This little mama cat was super smart and found her way into the hot tub, and here are her little kittens snuggled up in a flower pot. We tried to find a rescue group to take the little family so they could hopefully find a loving home.

Rescues pets are wonderful- just ask anyone who has one. Often these puppies or kittens are not placed in homes, and end up in the shelter. This way, they can find the exact pet they want, call the animal shelter or rescue group, and get information on how to adopt that specific animal.

A feral kitten captured and neutered by a small non-profit, somewhat militant organization, was on display at our local Massachusetts Society Prevention of Cruelty Association branch, which often took these feral cats in the hope of finding homes for them. A second rescue kitty, Hartley Mims, Jr. This is but one rescue story.

The mascot for this year’s National Justice for Animals Week is Adam, a spunky black cat who was set on fire by two teenage girls in a vicious attack in Santa Rosa, California, as an eight-week-old feral kitten.
