We are currently doing an investigation on pig farms in Spain, including intensive and extensive/free-range farms (tho extensive ones are scarce since intensive ones are the majority in the industry). This man is a meat-cutter from our home state of Washington. Page, a meat cutter from Curlew, was sentenced to a year jail in Ferry County Superior Court after being convicted on six counts of unlawful trafficking in wildlife. I'm not sure the sentencing is strict enough to keep him from doing it again. Page, 63, was sentenced Dec.

It took some patience but, eventually, the jay came down to investigate more closely. I had prepped Desi, my eight-year-old son, for the likelihood of seeing Gray Jays up-close-and-personal. Desi was delighted that our search was so easy, and even more delighted when he had the opportunity to put some almonds on his hand as an offering.

They are excellent opportunists, and have developed a taste for meat to an extent almost unrivalled in the parrot order. Kea are extremely curious birds, and investigate just about anything with their bills. For many years they were persecuted by farmers for preying on sheep, but in fact they will indeed do just that if they can.

The meat industry will say yes, of course, all animals are treated and killed humanely. For some people, it is inhumane to eat meat in any situation, no matter how well the animal is treated prior to and during slaughter. You are not processing their wellbeing, but their carcasses for meat. Here is my opinion.
