I have been rescuing animals, both wild and domestic, since I was a child. I’ve rescued field mice to horses, and everything in between. I’m allergic to cats, but in my lifetime I’ve rescued five of them. I look at the photo, and am enraged by how cruel and callous human beings can be. It sickens me.

No dog is happier to be rescued. My human kept me in an enclosed porch because, let’s face it, I was crawling with fleas and pretty filthy. We dogs are wired by nature to be humans’ companions. After all, dogs have the longest history of co-habitation with humans of any animal. Look, I’m a pet now.

We tried to find a rescue group to take the little family so they could hopefully find a loving home. Sadly, shelters and rescues are full of cats and are already full. This little mama cat was super smart and found her way into the hot tub, and here are her little kittens snuggled up in a flower pot.

However, any breed of dog that has been abused, neglected, or homeless may be aggressive to humans or other dogs. Pit Bull Rescue Central (PBRC) is a great resource for pit bull owners and those that find a homeless or lost pit bull. When people inquire, ask for detailed descriptions of unique characteristics of their lost pet.

Post a picture on Susan Wilson’s Facebook page and explanation of how your dog (or turtle, or human, etc!) She goes to the door, rejects the notion of going out, turns toward her dinner; goes back to the door, because clearly this human is not listening.
