50 surviving horses were rescued. The Humane Society of the United States, SPCA of East Texas and Humane Society of North Texas worked with the Smith County District Attorney's Office to rescue 50 horses from a Lindale property. For the full story, go here to KLTV.com.

However, any breed of dog that has been abused, neglected, or homeless may be aggressive to humans or other dogs. Pit Bull Rescue Central (PBRC) is a great resource for pit bull owners and those that find a homeless or lost pit bull. Abused and neglected dogs may react aggressively to something that you consider non-aggressive.

Just like humans, dogs depend on joints for flexibility and movement. Lately my beautiful, old greyhound Ruby, a rescued and abused track dog had experienced extreme agony in her joints from being overly raced around a dog track in the first few years of her life. They say dogs are like their owners and this is true, regarding joints.
