50 surviving horses were rescued. The Humane Society of the United States, SPCA of East Texas and Humane Society of North Texas worked with the Smith County District Attorney's Office to rescue 50 horses from a Lindale property. The group also included pregnant mares and a few yearlings.

Although I love dogs they're too dependent on humans, it's true that stray/feral dogs can form packs and survive in the wild a regular dog like a golden retriever would get eaten by a lion instantly. They are much more independent and still behave similarly to wild cats they are still pets and rely on humans to survive.

Mike Beebe has signed into law new animal-cruelty restrictions that make aggravated cruelty to cats, dogs and horses a felony on the first offense. Arkansas becomes the 46th state to make cruelty to animals a felony, according to the Humane Society of the United States.

In the Orinoco, the largest observed groups number 30, but average is just above five. We sailed right into a group of more than a dozen Hoatzins (cover photo, by Tyler Ficker) with their orange mohawks and blue facial skin. Yet, we had a good two hours or almost 50 kilometres by 75 horse-powered speedboat to reach Inirida at sunset.

The consultant also suggested increasing readership by catering to highly specific niche interest groups. It seems the ones I got decent photos of are all juveniles – it generally seems to be easier to get photos of juveniles as they have not quite learned to avoid humans. Thank god that this does not apply to humans.

I know on some level, I think that’s something almost all of us can get behind…no one, except the most callous and cold-hearted of the human race things its fine to torture animals, or deny that they are capable of pain and suffering. there is actually a group dedicated to saving lobsters!),
