Thanks to Grey2kUSA and the voters of Massachusetts who put an end to live greyhound racing in the Bay State as of last Saturday night! the ban happened while the industry was still operating). Fine Gael and rural Fianna Fáil backbenchers have called for greyhound breeders to be exempt because the industry is already regulated by existing legislation. Essentially, industrialized farming=soulless, small family farm=soulful. Food for my soul does not involve grilled greyhound any more than it involves grilled chicken. What that means is that it wasn't a factory-farm operation. It doesn't involve taking the life of someone who'd much rather not have her life taken.

I am a vegan who has adopted a diabetic greyhound who eats vegan food ( Natural Balance ), and who is adopting a boy from Russia. Having a biological child isn't supporting an exploitation industry and at odds with the goal of the cessation of animal use the way buying from a breeder or pet store is. And Adoption Awareness Month.

I'm not sure why he thinks we "appear" to be effective, as I can't think of one campaign that I've supported, other than the banning of greyhound racing in individual states, that has actually succeeded. Notwithstanding their local tactical victories, are animal rights protesters really as effective as they appear?
