A feral kitten captured and neutered by a small non-profit, somewhat militant organization, was on display at our local Massachusetts Society Prevention of Cruelty Association branch, which often took these feral cats in the hope of finding homes for them. My youngest daughter spotted the exceedingly shy black cat and wanted her.

Turns out the founder of TRC and many the vets who worked in clinic were falconers as well. Here are some myths: Falconry birds are essentially pets. The previous snowy was a good hunter but unfortunately that owl caught a feral pigeon that had frounce and died not long afterwards–something that could happen with a wild snowy.

It’s the bane of many rehabbers that they simply can’t get through to cat owners on this critical issue of free-roaming pets. The vet confirmed pain, injury and infection from her life on the streets, common afflictions for stray cats. Anecdotally speaking, my own revelation came when the harm to birds was personalized.
