You have to look carefully, because often there are Australasian Grebes and Green Pygmy-Geese amongst the ducks and lilies. The Magpie Geese have been known to breed in the area and sometimes you will observe them amongst the lilies, but sometimes they are perched in the trees at the end of the wetland. Ducks at Munkajarra Wetland.

This article is about the parrots we have, not the ones we wish we had. Yes, Germany has parrots, or parakeets to be more precise. The local flock of geese (mostly Pink-footed, Swan Goose) is not “countable” while the Egyptian Geese and Ruddy Shelducks that occasionally turn up are. A Birdy New Year!
