Essentially, industrialized farming=soulless, small family farm=soulful. Tags: Activism Economics Ethics Language. The animals were still bred and raised for slaughter, but evidently in some kind of soulful way we don't really hear about. I don't know how any person's soul can be considered fed at the expense of another sentient being.

Nosey the African elephant is with Liebling Family circus in Florida, right now they are in Mount Dora, this outfit violates animal welfare regulations on a regular basis. If you cannot videotape, how about a photo of your group/class/pets club holding up a sign asking for Nosey to be rescued from her daily torment ?

Assuming that the fish are kept in a large aquarium that mimics their natural habitat, and that the keeper treats the fish as family (as they would a rescued dog, cat, rabbit, etc.), would you see keeping these fish confined in an aquarium as a rescue effort or as a selfish act by humans that interferes with Nature?
