According to Wikipedia, birds (class Aves) are feathered, winged, two-legged, warm-blooded, egg-laying vertebrates. The cup is made up of dry grasses, rootlets, and weed stems, then lined with finer grasses, hair and fur. Most researchers agree that modern-day birds are the only living members of the Dinosauria clade.

In nature, you’ve got your leathery skin (like elephants or crocodiles), you’ve got your fur (like beavers and red deer), you’ve got your scales (like fish and pangolins) and you’ve got your feathers (like many theropod dinosaurs … oh, and birds).
