The use of bait in bird photography continues to be a controversial issue, but some instances of baiting clearly cross ethical boundaries into the realm of the unthinkable. A Grey-headed Fish Eagle photographed ethically. The purpose of using bait was to be able to capture action shots of the bird swooping in for the kill.

Juluri is referring to something specific: the Supreme Court's examination of First Amendment protection of acts of cruelty to animals. None of this does justice to the earth, and our unique place in it as a species which has great privileges and also appropriate responsibilities. They certainly depict cruelty to animals, right?

First, I do think people can either be desensitized to the rampant cruelty depicted in Earthlings, or so terrified of what might happen if they let it affect them that they simply shut down. Tags: Ethics Language. Does evil imply you know better and you choose X anyway? Is evil an excuse we make for people?
