So, I was excited to read reports in late 2017 of a pair of Whooping Cranes being seen on a cattle farm. I easily spotted the Whooping Cranes in the cattle field. We would listen to the spring migration chorus on the radio, have contests to see who could find the first Louisiana Waterthrush , and there would even be cartoons about wood-warblers for the kids. The Arenal forests are very good for this species. A Nightingale Wren singing in the rain. Great food : “Yum!”
