Are the kids cooking monkey, cat, dog, alligator or turtle? If you're going to call something an anthropological adventure, it would make sense to teach the kids about the other animals humans eat and give the kids the opportunity to prepare and eat dog, cat and monkey, no? But I bet anything doesn't go.

We know that the human mind has capacities that are not common in other animals. For example, humans have “Theory of Mind” which is not a theory in the scientific sense, but rather, a capacity whereby we have an internal theory of what is going on in other people’s minds. But that’s another story. Until now. Just eat the food.

In Chile I got the best view of an Andean Condor of the entire trip while having a cheeky poo under a monkey puzzle pine on the side of a volcano. I was convinced that this was to be the end- I pictured the headline: crapping birder eaten by big cat. In the Spanish Pyrenees I saw my first Alpine Chough while making yellow snow.
