Caring for the homeless cat population in Los Angeles, FixNation , offers free spay and neuter services to caregivers of community cats. The group has more than 7,000 volunteers locally who do this. To date, there are 7,076 volunteer trappers and caregivers that have embraced FixNation and contributed to these results.

Founded in 1997, it has become one of the largest animal rescue groups in Los Angeles. They have had truly great success in finding loving new homes for unwanted cats and kittens. Kitten Rescue volunteers place approximately 1,000 cats and kittens into new homes every year.

but a friend who volunteers for a rescue group told me of a greyhound event around the corner from my house. The child and the cat still have a special relationship.
