Foreign animals surviving in other climates

When I say animals, I was thinking more of large mammals (elephants, buffalo, cheetahs etc…) but other animals are welcome except for obviously domesticated ones. TL;DR Does anybody here have any information about animals from different parts of the world successfully living in a totally different area?

But, the anticipation of everyone else in the group was contagious, and when California birder Lori Conrad looked out the window of the plane as we started our descent and screamed, “Elephants! There are elephants down there!” I am a birder, after all.
