Apparently, when breeding, the two parents divide incubation duties, with one bird taking over the daytime duties and another one the nighttime. They frequently reuse nest holes, thus saving vital natural resources even though cleaning out the used nest hole takes about one week ( source ). At between 4 pm and 6 pm, to be exact.
