How can we say that magic is a farce when the May blossoms are backdropping bright, breeding plumaged Canadas , Magnolias , Chestnut-sideds , chocolate Bay-breasteds , and Rose-breasted Grosbeaks ? I hope I see a White-bellied Mountain-gem.

Serendipity Plus Avocado = Yellow-billed Cuckoo

Snow has touched down in some places up north, up there on the breeding grounds of Mourning Warblers , Baltimore Orioles , and Sharp-shinned Hawks. A lot of them came down to Costa Rica, especially the orioles. I wish it well, I hope it avoids the coils of snakes and talons of forest-falcons in the Amazon.
