Organic eggs are more expensive than the standard egg carton. But with battery eggs costing about $2 a dozen and organic free-range eggs costing between $5 and $6 a dozen, the impact of the proposed change goes beyond poultry. And I'm willing to pay for more expensive eggs if it allows for that. Not everyone has that luxury.

Daisy had heard of an organization called YANA (You Are Not Alone), that was distributing relief supplies to those who had suffered from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, and that needed warm clothes and other supplies for children, so she prepared a box of clothes that Desi had outgrown, along with wipes and diapers.

Happy Global Big Day from Costa Rica!

It was organized to boost eBird use, raise funds for bird conservation, and just get more people out birding. As for myself, I won’t be doing a full on Big Day because I already tried one a few weeks ago and need to recharge the Big Day batteries for a lot longer than a month before attempting (going through) that again.
