From the Associated Press: Blue whales are returning to Alaska in search of food and could be re-establishing an old migration route several decades after they were nearly wiped out by commercial whalers, scientists say. Here's hoping Sarah Palin leaves them alone.

The Inuit harvest, or hunt, polar bears in Canada. "In s director of wildlife, Gabriel Nirlinguyak} said, recalling that the two had cooperated on bowhead whale management issues. He said that a lot of Inuit feel betrayed by the animal rights movement, and by some biologists when it comes to polar bears.
