I Remember Elephants

10,000 Birds

In Africa, one elephant is being killed every 15 minutes. Even worse is the situation with Forest Elephants Loxodonta cyclotis of jungles of Central and West Africa.

We Should Kill More Lions

10,000 Birds

This Lion should not be shot, as it is a protected reserve that forbids shooting. Hunters go to Africa to shoot lions, and this is without question a good thing; for birds, for ecosystems, and for lions in general! Qualifying statements to follow). I’m not even trolling (much).

Feral Cats Are An Invasive Species in North America (and elsewhere)

10,000 Birds

The majority of wildcats live today in Africa, and virtually none of them have provided the DNA from which supposed histories of domestication have been constructed by researchers. The Glitter in the Green: In Search of Hummingbirds–A Hummer Book Review

10,000 Birds

In 2012, I reviewed The Jewel Hunter , an absorbing narrative in which author Chris Goodie travelled throughout Asia, Africa, and Australasia to observe and photograph every Pitta species in the world. It provides goals and a definite direction for your birding travels and thoughts; sometimes it even becomes the basis of a book!
