Winter in Albert Park, Melbourne

It remains a good location for observing birds close to the city and easily accessible by public transport. It had received the metal band and numerical band on 9th May 2017 in the same location. Visiting Albert Park in winter recently, all wrapped up in layers of clothing – ethically sourced down is good!

Birding across the north of Australia in July

On other occasions we would encounter numerous caravans being towed or large trucks up to 54 metres long transporting fuel or cattle and we would wisely leave the bitumen if it was not a full width road and let the larger vehicles pass. It was an incredible time on the road and one which I will expand on over coming weeks.
