Hopefully I will see at least that many species in 2014! Checking out Red-breasted Blackbirds at the Aripo Agricultural Research Station. Really, my entire last day in Trinidad and Tobago should qualify here but I haven’t that full day up so the Red-breasted Blackbirds will stand in. Red-breasted Blackbird.

Argentinian Julián Quillén Vidoz, is both a co-author and an illustrator of Birds of Bolivia , and is apparently one of those multi-talented birders, with research (in Bolivia), guiding, and illustration on his resume.

She does, and her narrative serves as a role model for how to write about birds simply and knowledgeably; informing birds’ family stories with scientific facts and research findings. I visited Hong Kong from February 20-27, 2014. Do your research. 118 Eurasian (Chinese) Blackbird. Despite impressive, often rampant development, Hong Kong reserves 40% of its land as greenspace. The result is a nature lover’s paradise rich with mountains, beaches, and birds. Lots and lots of birds! 119 Eyebrowed Thrush.
