The Green Iguana (Iguana iguana)
10,000 Birds
MARCH 7, 2012
They can grow rather large , over six feet, with some tipping the scales at over twenty pounds, though iguanas that large are the exception rather than the rule. The female of the species lays ten to thirty eggs in a burrow she digs about 65 days after mating. This post was originally published on 12 May 2009.
