If this was America, we might not be concerned because starlings are an invasive species, at least in North America. Researchers are wondering if the die-off might spread to other birds or even fish. This is not something I needed to tell you but there is some new research. Since then the deaths haven’t stopped.

There are over 11,000 species of moths in North America. I have a hard enough time with the 1,103 bird species on the ABA Checklist. The Southeastern guide goes a bit more west, to eastern Oklahoma and Texas, so its northern borders lie at the north boundaries of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

He quickly starts pointing our different species that are all around us, with exceptional and obvious knowledge. If you wrote to Tennessee in the 10,000 Birds campaign this winter, you can cut and paste your letter, changing “Tennessee&# to “Kentucky.&# We fought them back in Tennessee; there’s a two-year stay on their proposal. We can fight them back in Kentucky, too.

Sometimes I just want to hug eBird, or more specifically, whoever writes the short species descriptions (even though I am not the typical hugging kind of person, trust me on this).
