Add that to the fact that here in Trinidad & Tobago we’re still under a strict curfew – the earliest I’m allowed to leave home is 5am. Once the native seedeaters were extirpated, invasive escapees of the pet trade began to creep in. They are resident in Trinidad and their population is slowly expanding.

Birding Around the Farm

I honestly don’t understand the need to sneak up on a snail but then again what do I know, when I was little I had a pet turtle that ran away. Also an uncommonly seen bird in Guyana, there is only a single record of this species on Trinidad – and that bird was only seen once. I had never before seen a Limpkin do this.
