We were then able to walk down Upper Thomson Road and get public transport back to our hotel. Even before we entered the park we had seen Black-naped Orioles , Tree Sparrows , Large-billed Crow , Javan Myna, Orange-bellied Flowerpecker, Olive-backed Sunbird and an Oriental Dollarbird. Taxi v SMRT – The SMRT is the excellent, clean, safe, reliable, cheap transport system of Singapore. Check the tops of the palms for Blue-crowned Hanging Parrot and watch for White-breasted Kingfishers on any prominent feature. If you don’t get to spend it, you can use it on board, or change it back later.

Grey-hooded Kingfisher on a pole, a Broad-billed Roller in a tree, and lots of Grey-headed Sparrows made for pleasant waiting. My cabin had a pair of Grey Parrots in a hollow tree, an Upcher’s Warbler , and a Black-bellied Paradise-flycatcher. and pre-arranged transport at the landing took me back to Entebbe airport.

TRANSPORTATION. Red-lored Parrot. Mealy Parrot. House Sparrow. In fact, we saw two species of monkey, our only sloths, lots of coatis, and my rarest ever mammal sighting—a Jaguarundi —right on site.
