A monkey was rescued from a factory in India where it was being held in captivity. According to the article, "Zoochosis is a term used by animal rights activists in reference to the degrading effect of zoos on animals that have been kept in captivity over a long period of time. Poor monkey!

There are the endemics, which are odd in their own way, and then there introduced species, which are so varied in their type and origin that you get the feeling you’ve arrived at the aftermath of a small zoo that escaped. We don’t have monkeys, or wildebeest, or salmon here. In many ways, that is exactly what happened.

Wisdom is not charging people extra to see your reconstituted Jurassic Park style dinosaur zoo when all you’ve got is a barn full of chickens. Therefore, humans are fish with feet, right? For example, it would make a huge amount of sense for suspensory feeding monkeys to have six, not four, limbs.

In fact, we saw two species of monkey, our only sloths, lots of coatis, and my rarest ever mammal sighting—a Jaguarundi —right on site. Yes, that’s Panama City to the right.
