Turtle Doves have been declining in Europe since the 1970s, and in this century alone, the continent has lost 40% of its population of the species. Since this spring’s revision of the European Red List, the Turtle Dove is listed as a vulnerable species. The cargo was meant to be sold as delicacies to restaurants in Italy.

On March 11th, RPA sent the governors of all 50 states a letter and two factsheets urging them to help get their land-grant universities (LGUs) out of the meat industry. Take a moment to tell your governor you agree we must get our LGUs out of the meat industry. Many say you can’t eat meat and be an environmentalist.

I simply don't understand the core message of this book--that eating animals can be wrong for one person, yet that same person supports the unnecessary slaughter of animals as long as it's done in a certain way.
