If we had the technology / medecine to make some animals, namely pets like cats or dogs, remain a kitten/puppy all their life, because it's cuter or something, would it be considered unethical ? Also we'll assume this cant work on humans to avoid this debate.

It might not be a rainbow bridge incident but just some puppers/kittens fooling around their humans but I can’t go through the thing without welling up. I daydream about rescuing a puppy or kitten and giving them a forever home. I can’t read a story about a pet or watch a video without going down the emotional sinkhole.

So when we adopted a human baby we knew we'd have to teach that human to avoid Violet. The growing little human in the house was basically taught to stay far away from dogs and respect their space. I have no idea how anyone has more than one human child. Would you give someone the gift of a human baby for Christmas?
