I found this little grouping of Guillemots, with parents, babies and even an egg. The boat Captain got us right in close. What started as a small group of birds, with the hope they would make it on their own, is now a very strong breeding population. When were visiting Smoo cave, this one was right in the cave entrance.

One morning, I woke up to see a White-breasted Nuthatch in the tree right behind our 5th wheel, but before I could get out there with my camera, it was gone, never to see seen in the next three days. Guess I was just not holding my mouth right? Here is the gray toned female Mountain Bluebirds.

Size apart, the sighting rates in the right season and area are really striking. The main chapters are habitats, fauna and flora, followed by a separate chapter on whales, dolphins and seabirds, and the Sri Lanka national parks and wildlife reserves. The only thing that remains is to check Gehan’s words personally.
