Although I love dogs they're too dependent on humans, it's true that stray/feral dogs can form packs and survive in the wild a regular dog like a golden retriever would get eaten by a lion instantly. They are much more independent and still behave similarly to wild cats they are still pets and rely on humans to survive.

As the name suggests, they rescue rabbits, but they also rescue other small animals like ferrets, and other small rodents. They would realize that wild owls fly silently through the night and grab unwary rodents, not unsuspecting packages of processed cow meat. That is, until the ducklings grow up, are released into a pond, and greet the local feral cat colony as long-lost relatives. In a perfect world, people would know better.

I find it astonishing that people argue of whether feral cats are bad for birds in North America. The plethora of approaches to the feral Cat problem is not an outcome of a diversity of great ideas; it is the ugly chimera of inappropriate compromise among biased and often poorly informed stakeholders. But in the case of Harris Hawks , this mentality jumps the species barrier and they form a strong bond with their human partners, readily accepting their non-avian hunting companions as members of their pack. I catch a glimpse of a small rodent disappearing into a burrow. There are many examples in the animal world of pack behavior.
