Thanks to groups like Alley Cat Allies, outdoor and feral cats have become above the law. She is not capable – physically or psychologically – of trapping and getting rid of one cat, let alone nine.

I am so sick of the feral cat colonies that infest so many locations that I like to bird. And while I am sick of the cat colonies I am even more sick of the deluded people who believe that by feeding feral cats they are somehow helping them. Outdoor cats live short, ugly, violent lives.

The common story on its demise was that it was wiped out by a single cat, a lighthouse keeper’s cat named Tibbles. Tibbles did contribute, but it was a population of feral cats that did the bulk of the killing.
