Getting Lost in North Sydney

On my last visit, which lastes four days, I didn’t have much time to sneak away from family, but I did get to check out two new sites. Silver-eyes , the common species of white-eye, were common as well, and a Grey Fantail was swooping around in typical style. This often happens to me, because I’m rather vague.

The site also seemed to suggest a few that seemed flat out wrong; parrotlets aren’t baby parrots, they are a type of small parrot, same with owlets and peeps. One website I found suggested a few others that may be true but I hadn’t encountered before, are young cranes actually called colts, or falcons eyas?

Lake Eacham, Mt Hypipamee and Mount Molloy

In the parking area I immediately encountered a pair of Australian Brush-turkeys as well as a new species for me, a Grey-headed Robin. This huge member of the Australian robin family is really tame in this carpark, making it probably the easiest place n the world to see the species (other than the Tableland it is only found in New Guinea).
