Looking for Lost Warblers at Parque Rio Loro, Costa Rica

One such star avian family is the Setophagidae, the birds known as wood-warblers. Those would be birds like Nashville, Black-throated Blue, Prairie, and Cape-May Warblers. Despite being a bird that lacks bright colors commonly found in other members of this famed family, the “Wormer” is one of my favorites.

It was not easy to get photos, both because the cloud cover was dense, and because I was protecting my camera from water damage. I did not yet see Orange-crowned , Nashville , MacGillivray’s , or Yellow-rumped (Audubon’s) Warblers. Of course, one never limits oneself to a single taxonomic family.
