The Big Five–lion, leopard, African buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros–are impressive, but my heart lies with the patterned mammals, giraffes and zebras. I was ecstatic when we found two giraffes by the side of the road “necking”, which I found out is a male test of strength and dominance, not a romantic entanglement.

I never get bored of Giraffes. But I think it should be on the list of anyone that wants a knockout experience to share with non-birders. I stayed with Mosetlha Bush Camp and would highly recommend them for a unique bush experience. Springbok were one of my targets, and I got them! Or Cheetahs. Yes, there are birds.
