So we made our way to the grounds of the Uganda Wildlife Education Center , a former zoo that now rehabilitates injured animals. On the shore of Lake Victoria, the grounds were surprisingly birdy, and we quickly built up a nice checklist.

The trust uses education, fieldwork, and a zoo in the Channel Islands to further its goal of saving threatened species from distinction.
