The only bird-related activity I can think of is looking at bird photos I took in Singapore in 2015, and adding some irrelevant comments to them. Presumably, birds living in Singapore do not understand German. In Singapore, Common Redshanks mostly drink Tiger Beer. Somebody fire the photographer, please.

I saw Painted Wolves again, my favourite species ever. The Orange-fronted Parakeet is a critically endangered species that I came agonisingly close to seeing but didn’t. Singapore: Urban Bird of the Year. Singapore is a densely populated city-state which still manages to protect a number of species.

Nice, Nice Birding in Narita

While planning a much-needed escape from the Western Hemisphere to Singapore, I had to explore the layover birding potential of Narita International Airport, one of two airports serving Tokyo. This terrific waterway, flanked with paths and studded with stepping stone bridges, is home to a lot of Eastern Spot-billed Ducks and Eurasian Teals.

24 Hours in Bangkok; Bang Pra

The flowerpecker, an attractive species, was actually responsible for Peter becoming a birder in the first place! Our next species was decidedly uncommon, a Black-headed Ibis circled overhead for a minute before flying off. Lesser Whistling Duck were flying around, and a Black-naped Oriole provided a nice flash of colour.
