I know feral dogs do sport hunts and there was a recorded primate war, but as far as I’m aware, the feral dogs were either directly owned or descended by dogs owned by humans, and the primate war was started by human interferance of food being given to the primates by researchers.

The majority of wildcats live today in Africa, and virtually none of them have provided the DNA from which supposed histories of domestication have been constructed by researchers. I find it astonishing that people argue of whether feral cats are bad for birds in North America. Which would be even worse. Let me tell you this: They are.

The domestic dog was once and still often is Canis familiaris as opposed to the wolf, Canis lupus , but the former which is really a subspecies of the latter is now Canis lupus familiaris. They may have also had hunting dogs with them as well. Which would be weird. I find that a little surprising since it is our national bird.
