Our first rescue mission was at a business park in Redmond where we saved 650 feral rabbits from the ultimate fate of the arriving bulldozers. The structures will be small so we don’t disturb the trees or our resident wildlife (raccoons, deer, owls, cottontail rabbits, etc.) Over 1,000 rescued rabbits have roamed the 4.5

The trip was probably reasonably well planned and it would have been known to these travelers that game birds, as well as deer and fish, were abundant in the region they were traveling to. Thus, the cattle we raise for meat and dairy are sometimes called Bos taurus while the extinct wild form is always called Bos primigenius.

Birds are no doubt in decline in all cities around the world as human populations increase and feral birds thrive, so we should all appreciate what we see every day wherever we are. A lone Terek Sandpiper in Busan… they will be waiting for me in the hundreds in Broome! I have had a good time exploring.
