Books are obvious opportunities for advocacy and vegan education. How successful they are at creating new vegans or animal rights advocates depends on many factors. . Is your market vegans? If you can wait a month or maybe two and order at least a couple hundred books, start a publishing company and self-publish.

Cherry City Bath and Body is a great new, vegan bath and body company! I recently got a chance to try some of their items, including the new scent, Good Karma, that supports animal rescue. I just love using everything I got to try because not only does it all smell great, but I love knowing that everything is animal friendly too.

I liked the way the film connects oil use to an oil company. The latter form a publishing company, get their own block of ISBNs (like Social Security numbers for publications of all kinds), and print and distribute the books themselves (or outsource those parts). And just for clarity, I'm not talking about using Xlibris and the like, which are print-on-demand companies.)

There's no remotely vegan or even vegetarian (though I'm not even sure what the latter would look like) message. We also know that many companies with admirable business practices have been bought by colossal corporations (e.g., We eat animals, and the CAFO system is an evil, filthy, cruel one, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Therefore, one of the many things we need, aside from the obvious of more vegan parents, is a line of nonspeciesist books for each age/stage. We can either bombard the publishing industry with proposals for books for kids, or we can create a publishing company ourselves for this specific purpose. I'm a terrible fiction writer.
