The PETA activist who worked undercover at the University of Utah, and collected video footage of alleged mistreatment of lab animals, was also involved in an operation at the Oregon National Primate Research Center. I say "good for her!" She has a lot more guts than I do.

Thus, there are now seven states with 200+ observed species. The state with the largest increase was Arizona , with 139 species added.

Yet, Wright points out, Song Sparrow was first depicted and named (‘Little Sparrow’) by Mark Catesby decades earlier, and then again collected by William Bartram and described and drawn by George Edwards in 1764. For example, Wright doesn’t just say that Abert’s Towhee can be found in Utah.

Apparently, you just collect the excrement of captive birds, weigh it and calculate back from there. Examples: California. Connecticut. New Jersey. North Dakota. Rhode Island. South Dakota. Washington. Wisconsin. I particularly like this photo of a female at Nanhui. How do you measure this, you may ask? It is easy.
