Often someone buys an expensive purebred animal and then attempts to breed that animal to recoup their money. Often these puppies or kittens are not placed in homes, and end up in the shelter. People can encourage other pet owners to spay or neuter their pet (link to our spay neuter page) to help prevent unwanted births.

A feral kitten captured and neutered by a small non-profit, somewhat militant organization, was on display at our local Massachusetts Society Prevention of Cruelty Association branch, which often took these feral cats in the hope of finding homes for them. The work of shelters and breed rescue organizations is vital.

I need a kitten. Breed doesn't matter although I love Bengals. It would be great if it was neutered and had its shots but that part I. A male baby. Can afford myself. We spent our entire holiday and Xmas moving from a two story 3bedroom,2bath into a 2bedroom 2bath apt. We had no money to make this move.
