Fortunately, I am talking about Tree Swallows battling for nest boxes at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge: if this post were about people I probably would have taken a stray bullet trying to report the story, at least, I would have if people fought over housing like Tree Swallows do! They may be “outdoor cats” with a specific owner, stray pets, feral, or may have originated in one household and are now fed or cared for by other households in the neighborhood. Free-roaming cats will hunt and kill birds, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish, resulting in wildlife mortality.

He's right with his implication that stopping the seizing of pets and strays simply created a more efficient, effective means of commodifying and torturing dogs and cats. To view someone who spends their life starving, piercing, mutilating, terrifying and killing others as a mentor is shocking. But that's now what happened.

A certain breed, age, sex, temperament, that you think will fit into your home. She was on the kill list in NYC and was pulled by A Pathway to Hope Rescue, after Rock & Rawhide advocated for her life. Fostering is a wonderful experience. It is always helpful if the foster also promotes the pet to their contacts.

Breeds with very short fur like Chihuahuas, boxers and greyhounds may have a hard time keeping warm, making even brief walks uncomfortable. If you find a lost or stray pet, please call your local animal control or nearest animal shelter. Even a small amount can kill. Wipe Those Paws. Watch Out for Antifreeze.
