Of course Africa could not to be left out of the pink weekend so I have researched all African species whose official or alternative names include the word “pink”. Its mostly found on the ground in thickets or the edges of dense vegetation and usually in small family parties. There are certainly some stunners involved.

These researchers carried out two different major efforts that in combination advance our understanding of the evolution of the bird beak. See: Four Wings Good Two Wings Better? So how did beaks evolve? Except, really, that hasn’t happened either.

Because, as this book demonstrates so well, it is sometimes important to look back in order to move forward. It’s a very mixed chapter.
