I was looking out a car window the other day and noticed that of all the wildlife most of it was bird. The clifftop habitats along rocky shores of the North Atlantic (on both sides of the pond) abound in bird biomass during breeding bouts, for instance. A squirrel skittered by … a squirrel is not a bird. This is not a surprise.
