It has been more than 5 years since I last went to Australia, and I was even less of a qualified bird photographer then than I am now. So, the basic idea is to show 15 species of Australian birds in each post and give you the usual trivia about them. The female looks a bit duller but I was assured it has a beautiful soul.

Fish Creek to Buffalo

I soon encountered many of the local birds that I have become very familiar with over recent weeks. There was a Koala doing…nothing! Koala doing…nothing! The Koala then had an itch, so there was a little bit of action! There was an adult feeding a juvenile bird quite close to the trail.

Foster to Fish Creek

I have become very familiar with the birds along the trail. Some species I know I will see and other species I don’t observe on every walk. One of the most common birds that I have encountered is the Eastern Yellow Robin. They are a magnificent large bird, which is much bigger than the Gang-gang Cockatoo.
